Yes ma'am!!! We went on a cruise at the beginning of May and dang gina did we ever LOVE that get away. Don't even think about asking if we brought the kids with us. NO! Just Ty and Trista. :) We did a Southern Caribbean cruise starting in Barbados and ending in Ft. Lauderdale.
Day 1: Barbados
We walked off the stairs of the airplane right onto the runway. Our AA plane was the only commercial airline in the airport. The people were so friendly!!! We were too cheap to pay the taxi fare to our hotel so we read online that you can take the city bus for $1.50. Heck yes! The Barbadians showed us where the bus was, which bus to take, how to pay the bus driver, how far to take the bus, and detailed instructions on how to walk down the block to find our hotel. Nicest people I ever met. Our hotel was right on the sand and absolutely perfect.

Day 2: Barbados
Horseback riding here we come. Ever since I was a child I have had this obsession with horses. Ty and I each picked an activity while we were on the cruise. He picked yacht racing, as you will see later, and I picked horseback riding. Our 2 and a half hour horseback ride was both breathtaking and slightly scary. The island of Barbados is full of rolling grassy hills and beautiful beaches. What I didn't know is that the horses on the island are spirited. My horse had a mind of its own. I even got kicked in the leg by our guide's horse. It didn't really hurt it just scared the horse obsession right out of me. :)

Day 3:
St. Vincent
The ship sailed all night to bring us to St. Vincent. We woke up with the ship sitting in the most beautiful bay surrounded by tall lush mountains. Being cheap...we decided to explore the island by foot. We started walking and walked some more. The natives looked at us like we were straight up crazy white folk. The picture of the ship was taken from atop a mountain that we climbed. This beautiful picture left a lasting impression on my legs. They were so sore for the next few days. Also, as it was Sunday, we kept our eyes open for a church to attend. Look what we found. Ty even gave the closing prayer.

Day 4:
Dominica
On this beautiful island we walked along the rocky coast to get to the black sand beach.

Day 5:
Antigua
Here we checked out a gorgeous cathedral. As soon as we arrived it started down pouring rain. It was sad to see water leaking through the roof and pouring through open windows onto the historic wooden pews.
Day 6:
St. Maarten
St. Maarten was so RAD! This was the island where Ty chose an activity. He chose for us to be in a yacht race. The yachts actually raced in the America's Cup during the 1980's! For our activity there were three yachts and three teams. We raced in the U.S. yacht called Stars and Stripes against two Canadian boats. Each of us on a team were given a job to make the boat work. Ty and I were primary grinders which meant we had to turn a handle really fast while the boat felt like it was going to tip over. Ty cranked the handle so fast he almost passed out, but we did move from third place to second place during that time. Seriously, Ty's lips were so white I thought he was going to faint. I have never been on a racing yacht and I have to admit it was extremely intense. While the boat was turning, one side of the boat would be high in the air while the other side was dragging in the water. We had to hold on to what was called the "life line" so we wouldn't fall out. Such a blast. I would recommend this activity to anyone and everyone who visits St. Martin. Check out their website: http://www.12metre.com/
P.S. Our team came in first place. :)

Day 7: At Sea
Hangin' out on the boat.

Day 8: Princess Key.... or at sea
Our ship broke so we didn't get to stop at Princess Key. I am serious. The ship couldn't go fast enough to make it to Princess Keys and make it to Ft. Lauderdale on time so we had to skip our last stop. It was ok. We had fun on the boat.
